In 1978, a private limited company called BRB Cable Industries Ltd. was founded with the goal of producing wires and cables. Following a successful incorporation, BRB began selling its products in 1980. In the year 2000, BRB opened its PVC Cables Plant to produce cables up to 33 kV as well as HT cables, FRLS cables, and aluminum conductors up to 132 kV, all of which are insulated with XLPE. During this time, super-enameled copper wire plugs and instrumentation were also introduced. For the first time in Bangladesh, BRB implements the C.C.V. Plant (Catenary Continuous Vulcanization) at this age.

The company begins manufacturing a variety of products in order to meet the market's rising demand, including XLPE and PVC-insulated LT and HT cables, FRLS cables, dry jelly-filled telecommunication cables, instrumentation cables, aluminum overhead conductors, a special type of dual-coated super copper wire, marine optical fibers (OFC), miniature circuit breakers (MCB), and ceiling fans.

The goods have received approval from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) and certification from the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), a globally renowned testing facility in India.

The factory is located at BSCIC Industrial Estate, 5 km from Kushtia town, and it is well-equipped with modern machinery and equipment, along with a group of qualified and experienced manpower to ensure the quality of the products. As a result, the company has gained notoriety throughout the nation, and its product has been approved and is being used by major governmental and non-governmental organizations, including BPDB, REB, DESA, DESCO, BMDA, PWD, BTMC, and B
