Dapper Bespoke

December 2, 2021 marks the death anniversary of Mr. Shahzaman Mozumder Bir Protik, a decorated liberation war veteran, pioneer of classical menswear in Bangladesh as well as the founder of Dapper Bespoke. It is hard to find suitable words to pay a tribute to this truly remarkable man, one who was almost regarded as a living legend by those who knew him. Today, we will only talk about one of the many aspects from his life, his incredible journey in the pursuit of true style.

 Mr. Shahzaman Mozumder had been fascinated with the idea of dressing well ever since he started frequenting Singapore for work purpose and made some well fitted suits by the skillful bespoke artisans there. Soon, he realized that nobody else around him was really putting any efforts into dressing well simply because of the lack of knowledge and resource. So in 2013, he started the very first style blog in Bangladesh named “King of Dhaka”, where he uploaded photos of his daily attires as well as sartorial advices. Soon enough, the site got quite popular among the professionals as well as style savvy gentlemen in Dhaka.
