MILK VITA BANGLADESH
363/1, West Nakhalpara, Tejgaon, Dhaka-1215, Bangladesh
In 1946, the decision was made to establish a factory-based dairy sector in Bangladesh. cooperative primary milk producer society. The previous name of the business was changed to "Eastern Milk Producers Co-operative Union Ltd." It took over the factory. A second firm that produced and marketed bottled milk called "Ashto Dairy" in Tejgaon, Dhaka, was taken over by the Co-operative Marketing Society at the same time owing to financial failure. However, cooperative marketing societies utterly failed to enhance the financial standing of both organizations. For a short period of time, the two firms engaged in limited manufacturing and marketing operations, but in the early 1970s, these activities were discontinued as a result of poor management and a lack of financial cooperation.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation and the great architect of independence, established a dairy with its own production area as soon as the country gained its independence in order to advance the fortunes of the laboring people, pay farmers a fair price for their milk production, and provide safe and hygienic milk to the consuming class of the city. In order to satisfy the demand, he provided instructions on how to "radicalize" the development of India's dairy industry. As a result, in 1973, two consultants, Mr. Castrop and Mr. Nelson, studied the dairy industry in this country with the assistance of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Denmark's international development agency, Danida, in order to determine the method of solving the milk crisis to meet the nutritional needs of the country's people. By paying off the debts of the two prior plants and taking into account the suggestions in the two studies, the Bangladeshi government established the Cooperative Dairy Project, a program to expand the dairy sector, in the new location in 1973. With the aid of a 13.12 crore government loan, factories were established in five dairy regions of the nation to carry out the following two fundamental principles: safeguard the interests of milk-producing farmers, and boost milk output. In 1977, "Bangladesh Milk Cooperative Union Ltd." was added to the name.
