Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) was founded in 1961 with the dual goals of producing agricultural graduates and conducting research that would lead to the development of various agricultural technologies for the improvement of rural people's quality of life. The Agri-varsity Extension Project, which was founded in 1976 to transfer agricultural technologies to farmers, was later renamed as the BAU Extension Center (BAUEC) in 1989. This center's primary goals are to build a bridge between rural residents who work in agriculture (crops, horticulture, fisheries, and livestock) and BAU, as well as to speed up technology extension support services with the close collaboration of numerous GOs and NGOs through research demonstration, farmers'/entrepreneurs' training,
