BUET

A leader in engineering education in Bangladesh is the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The Dhaka Survey School was established in 1876, which is when BUET first became an institution. Later in 1947, it was transformed into an engineering college, and in 1962, it was granted independent university status. It is situated in the center of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on a small 83.9-acre plot of land.

Through its 18 departments, which fall under the five faculties of architecture and planning, civil engineering, engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering, BUET provides high-quality research and instruction.
